Water Main Breaks

Water main breaks occur infrequently throughout the year and trying to estimate the volume of water lost can be difficult.   The estimates below have been figured by knowing the time of the break and the time it took to isolate or shut down the break.  That time is used to identify the amount of water lost in the storage tanks during that duration on our charts.  Also during this time frame we can see the amount of water that was pumped from our wells.  Depending on the time of day, we use a percentage of that water use, to identify the lost water compared to the water used by the residents.
